Kdenn's diet

Kdenn loves fishball noodles, the fishballs... wans fishballs! yeah, mummy, fishball eat eat eat! Think it was his first solid foods the babysitter gave him everyday when he was under her hands... Was that how he started liking it? Or is he already TIRED of it!!??


When there's no idea what to eat outside, it's usually fish soup as the final decision. Has veges, has fish and thick bee hoon, it's always mum's favourite.

Mummy will cook Xi Yang Cai soup on wkends: one of the soup in mummy's menu.


Another soup on the wkend menu: Sweet corn soup. Kdenn loves the sweet corn, and asks for the bits to bite on haha...


Wkend menu: Lotus Root Soup, Kdenn loves it. Drink soup drink soup, he will ask for! haha and the lotus root, will bite it with his brown rice...everything looks so BROWN kekeke

Brown rice: Yes, kdenn's been eating that at home since he was feeding consistently. Por por forced mummy to introduce that and slowly we all liked it and ate it together with him too... Hoping he grow tougher in size... and healthier from this...

Daddy's Favourite noodles: Penang char kway teow. He will reject his proper rice if he sees daddy's eating this!! And the problem starts.... difficult to bring him back to finish his proper rice lor...

Chrysanthemum tea: Usually daddy will get this if we eat out at foodcourt. And kdenn will want many sips too! hahaha... likes it lor!

Scotts Cod Liver Oil: His first intake every morning, rain or shine. hahaha! Makes him smile and hopefully makes him a little more "immuned".


Kdenn's favourite dessert: Yogurt...especially strawberry flavour!


HA! Tell me which kid doesn't like French fries hahaha!! Of course without teaching, NATURALLY, amazingly, why he will just want it!! Especially at .... McDonalds!

... he went home with this picture and started pointing each and every face and naming his classmates one by one hahaha... suddenly! What a shock everyone had! hahaha...

July...getting more and more talkative...

IT HAS BEEN an advancing month since July 2008... life has been more active, more talking, so much more sharing of knowledge, and exciting for Kdenn. He has been learning to talk like us since he started making sounds, and trying to express himself with words and words and more words, and while you put all his words into sentences... Mummy has been down with bad nausea which is usually a "whole day business" and so haven been bringing Kdenn out shopping and exploring places outside. However, last weekend we went to Junction-8. While shopping for some maternity clothes which por-por wants mummy to buy and try, we realise how happy he loves shopping, browsing clothes - u think he is really browsing meh!!!? - and running around, following us, looking here and there, into the mirror, going to fitting rooms, gosh! he was like... enjoying every part of shopping! Poor daddy got to keep watching him and chasing him!... anyway, this is kids always, right? hahaha...
Coming back to his toys at home, he loves to queue his toy cars at home, and is the dining table!!!... not a good place though, but he did it after seeing lots of traffic jam news on tvs, and probably when he always sit in daddy's car travelling on the road everyday hahahaa!... But he is kind of getting lazy of keeping them more and more... got to remind him to keep before he switch his attention to another activity.



He got a camera from Grandauntie Daisy, and started smiling to the camera, counting 2-4 (yeah, not 1-3) and start smiling to the camera... so funny right!!! hahaha... we guess it must have been the class photo shoot he went through few weeks ago... that he learned to smile after counting, and to the camera lor! heeheee... and thus, mum made use of this method to get him to smile to the camera for some recent shots for the month heeheeee.... oh yeah, because of his short hairstyle, he started wearing cap this month too heehee... yeah he's surprisingly OK with it!! yeh!

One thing we have never realised, actually Kdenn holds his pen quite perfectly, don't you think so? Mum decided to keep a picture for his nice position, his first positions, first strokes, oh yes, he's a "Leftie" yeah... thought he is quite "professional" at holding it huh... but this stubborn boy doesn't want to let mummy hold his hand and teach him to write something!! He sees how we hold the pen and he follows, or rather, imitate, but he doesn't want us to continue to teach him more .... aiiii.... he is really exploring hard, and he definitely has his own thinking of when he wants to let us teach him write, when he wants to learn to write correctly, or learn his strokes...

Neat & Cool two & a half!

Time flies! Kdenn has turned 2 1/2 yrs old...

Wanted to get him a haircut some time ago, but the salon is so expensive here! Don't like the way they earn parents' money! I really din mind if they do a good worthy job, but i went to one children salon before with kids' facilities, but i saw the auntie's face and shutoff immediately. SHe totally look "china-chinese" and i don wan to accept her service at all! The way she dresses is like going to market, and it doesn't reflect how much she is charging! --it costs $16 for my son's haircut can u take it??-- i sure will not pay for that short fast haircutting session! And how good and professional can you go with the little kid!!

Frankly speaking, i m only willing to pay $5 -- the most-- for kdenn's haircut!!

So, all these.... are OUT!!

So i prefer to cut his hair myself, and only when we get to daddy's hometown!!

And this was what he got last weekend.... for 3.50RM. mummy and daddy -- very satisfied!!! hahaha

Kdenn cried at the haircut, but was over after that anyway.... heeeheeee....NEAT & COOL!

My Family Photo

It's been long while since we last had a family photo...again!

Think Kdenn is growing more upwards than sidewards now...haha

He reads seriously!

He flips each and every page, and scrutinise so near to the book, almost about 4 inches away GOSH!! that's "long-sighted" hahaha... and u see liao sure laugh, he behaves as if he really knows what he is reading! he went through the i-magazine , HOTSTUFF car magazine, and the book with lots of maps (mum's geography textbook) hahaha! ya! every page he's got something to say! And only he himself knows what he's talking about, coz ...it's his own "baby" blabbing language la.... even when ah-gong is chanting, he joins in and also flip the gongyo book and as if he really know how to read the prayers, and when silent prayers start, he follows ah gong's actions like hitting the bell, bow, and keep, and close the butsudan!!

Mum loves to see him do all these things, so professionally leh heehee... must maintain his standards and make him maintain too! ...but he's still sooooooo bad-tempered, selfish and impatient!!

In school, teachers commented that he is willing to learn almost everything, ...jus impatient and bad-tempered la...

He points to the world map, countries he can remember now : Australia, New Zealand, Mongolia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan, India, Iceland, USA, France, Germany, China, Russia....

Colours: Purple and Red... (everything is purple) hahaha

Alphabets: A-Z except F, M, N, S, W...

Numbers: he goes 1,2,1,2,1,2....(hahahaha!!)

Happy 1st Mothers' Day!!

Got a card which Kdenn made from class in school hahaha... (as if he knows!!) and on Mothers' Day, Kdenn seriously swept the floor hooohooooo!!! hahahhaaa.... the nice present for mummy? hahhaaa....again, as if he knows!!!

It's the month of May! Mummy's favourite month! Her birthday month ahahha...everyday is birthday mood hahaha... mum's turning 29 and kdenn is turning 3 at the end of this year!
Seeing kdenn grow and change and "transform", we see how he is resembling dad and mum now... long time since mum appear in the snaps with Kdenn!! Here you go... mum's old as Kdenn grows?? hahahahaa... was taken in the car while dad's driving, on the way to send Kdenn to Childcare...

Childcare Days: Week 4

Now ah-ma is called "poh-poh"!

Now, Kdenn calls:-

• poh-poh, gong-gong, jiu-jiu, jie-jie, gor-gor, bah (for papa), ma ma ma (for mama),
• bah (for bus),
• deng (for light),
• dar (for star),
• mmmm ('M'),
• ba (for eight),
• mm mm mmm (for driving, F1, sports cars)
• mom-mom (for food and hunger)

...and he also

• dance Michael Jackson
• Flies like Superman
• Stand like Raffles
• Flag for the bus
• Shout for mama thru the phone
• wave goodbye
• do french kiss

The first person he greet in the morning is "baaah" (daddy) !!
He is starting to throw tantrum in school.
He is starting to be unwilling to let mummy go to work. That is NOT like mummy at all!! Mummy was the one who will chase grandma home when she reaches school lor!! haiii... like this no clever liao heeheeehee....cheh!

He climbs into his highchair with the help of another stool.

He knows it is bedtime and will get his milk and go to bed.

He eats rice and bites well.

He passes motion well regularly with the help of flax seeds in his cereal/oats every morning.

He goes to chair or highchair when he knows it is mealtime.

He uses the spoon to feed himself on some foods.

He asks for food when he is hungry (or actually mouth-curiosity??).

His appetite is increasing rapidly.

Flee-dom to Play!!

Mummy has never let Kdenn play in the playground before. Mum thinks that the playground is not a clean place to stay around. And never has mum got to play in the playground before as well. Even if so, there was only less than twice. Moreover, there is nothing to regret if we don ever get a chance to be at the playground, isn't it!? Sekali fall down how? Sekali weak immunity and kena HFMD (Hand-Foot-Mouth-Disease so common now!) how? hmmph!....but mummy cannot avoid Kdenn being able to play at the playground this time liao lor, because it is located at the Rooftop of the Childcare centre itself!! Mummy is ok this time, because the playground there is well-maintained and is "private property", so, teacher say can play, then whole class play together lor! So then after that must wash feet and hands and clean face....keep hygiene ma!

But but but...gosh! you see la! No need to teach one! Playing in the playground is as easy and as natural as kids are!

Kdenn goes to school!!

Finally Kdenn goes to school!!! He is adapting well and transiting great to the life that way! Gosh... mum has finally wait for this day to happen.

The night before, ah-ma put the uniform onto him for the first time, and he looked like he knows what is going to happen :S:S??? hahhaa...so excited and happy?? hmmm...

Then in school for the first week, there was chaotic moments trying to fit into the new timing to wake up, to sleep, to rush home, and to eat. Now ah-ma cooks Kdenn's dinner almost everyday, and for the first week passed, he now eats rice like a big boy!!...and he shits (FINALLY) on his own, after mummy tried flax seeds in his breakfast cereals. Flax Seeds is the miracle!! yeah!! We can now say BYE BYE to MICORLAX!! And remembered that the last time mummy got to buy the Microlax from so many places all out of stock and only left few boxes in the market. Now mummy put that aside which cost almost a bomb... BUT but but... of course more than happy to do away with it now that there is flax seeds working greatly!!

Surprisingly, Kdenn is now willing to sit on the bowl which he never ever wanted last month and before!! (what did the childcare teachers do har???!!!) hahahahaaa.... and he is learning to feed himself, and picking things up real real real fast, really, mummy really cannot believe it!!! He can even point to the world map countries like Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, S.Africa, Europe and USA, Russia, Australia and New Zealand leh!! Mummy is really feeling more and more like a foool orh!

Ah-ma said this is his "cubicle" hahaha...look how tired he must be in school learning everything and following the rest of the classmates to learn to take a nap BY HIMSELF!! hmm....real independent lives now small kids have to face hor?? Sometimes we wonder is it the improving technology of the milk powder, and the knowledge parents gain and result in the high-tech genes
making kids today so complicated in the brains!!

For those who have been worrying and showing care and concerns to Kdenn all these 2 years, we have always been very touched and really thankful without describable words, but please be assured that you all will always be in our hearts. We remember all kindnesses from everyone, being sorry to be unable to return enough gratitude this lifetime.... lots of loves and thanks!!! Hopefully, the road ahead of us now will start to be easier and manageable and clearer and stable!!! CHEERS a million!!
